Continuing its policy of terror bombings of the capital of the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic), on 5 August 2022 the Ukrainian army shelled Donetsk's hospital No. 17, the railway station and a bus in the north of the city, killing four civilians and wounding 19 others (including a child).

While the allied forces (Russian army and DPR people's militia) took control of the entire village of Peski on the outskirts of Donetsk, the Ukrainian army decided to take revenge on the inhabitants of the town by carrying out new terrorist bombings.

After shelling Colonel Korsa's funeral ceremony the day before, killing eight civilians and wounding five, the Ukrainian army fired Grad multiple rocket launchers at Donetsk Hospital No. 17 in the Kuibyshevsky district on the morning of 5 August 2022.

The Ukrainian army also targeted the Donetsk railway station in the same district.

The shelling of the Kuibyshevski district caused extensive damage to the hospital (one rocket hit the roof) and the railway station, and killed one civilian and injured 14 others, including a child. Two of the civilians were injured by "petal" mines dropped by Grad rockets.

Later in the evening, the Ukrainian army shelled the Kievski district, north of Donetsk, with 155mm NATO artillery, hitting a bus full of passengers. The terror bombing left three civilians dead and five injured. The images taken on the spot show a real bloodbath.

It is clear that the Ukrainian army's terrorist bombardment of Donetsk is revenge for the loss of Peski and the upcoming loss of Maryinka and Avdeyevka, where Ukrainian defenses have been breached and allied forces are advancing. Further north, in Artiomovsk, the Ukrainian defenses have also been breached and Allied forces have entered the eastern part of the town.

While waiting for the front line to retreat far enough from Donetsk, Russian and DPR artillery are intensively striking Ukrainian positions to stop the firing at civilians and break down the defenses to continue the advance of the allied forces.
