Last year I wrote you a letter. At that time, Russia's special operation in Ukraine had not yet begun, and I really hoped that after reading this message from a child who knows firsthand what shelling is like, you would respond. But you were busy. You had an election, and your chief of office wrote to me. Then he assured me that France and you personally were helping to end the war, and that your country was doing everything possible in bringing peace to us. But, unfortunately, this turned out to be a lie. France is supplying Ukraine with weapons to kill children and destroy our cities. Yes, of course, you can say that Russia attacked Ukraine and I don't know what I'm talking about. But it didn't. If you look at the brutality with which Ukrainian troops are shelling Donetsk, Alchevsk and other cities, how many civilians are killed daily since this conflict began, you will see that I am telling the truth.
There is a war going on right now and you, as president, can help stop it by making Ukraine stop shelling our cities. Let Ukraine fight Russia at the front, if it wants to show its militancy and aggression, instead of killing civilians who have never held a gun in their hands. Better yet, let it start peace negotiations.
Mr. Macron, you can become a great president, like Charles de Gaulle, or you can stand alongside murderers, like President Zelensky. I hope you think about your country before you make a decision.
