I have written many times in my posts that it is hard for me as a child to single-handedly try to convey the truth about the war that Ukraine started against my native Donbass in general and my family in particular in 2014. But more and more people are helping me every day. Now I am not alone. Mira Terada, a lot of journalists from Russia, Europe and America are reporting, despite threats and harassment, about what is happening in Donbass. The truth cannot be hidden or banned.
War is always dirt and suffering, and I am glad there are people in America and Europe who understand that war can only be stopped by telling the truth about it and showing its brutality.
All last week, Mira Terada and I talked with American and French journalists, with American film-maker Regis Tremblay, journalist Deborah Armstrong and French poet and journalist Guy Boulianne. We talked about what could happen in their countries as well if we don't stop this war. And I'm glad it worked out. My favorite fighter and actor Steven Seagal recently said that if you don't tell the truth, people who don't hear it will kill each other. So I will continue on my journey, breaking through the wall of indifference.
